No OTP to anyone, ever

  • ·No bank employee will ask for it
  • ·No delivery agent needs it
  • ·An OTP shared is money already gone

You never enter a PIN to receive money

  • ·PIN sends. PIN never receives.
  • ·'Scan this QR to get your refund' always takes money out

Urgency is the tell

  • ·'Your KYC expires today'
  • ·'Offer valid for 10 minutes'
  • ·Nobody legitimate needs an answer in two minutes

  • ·'I do not share OTPs. I will visit my branch myself.'
  • ·Then hang up. No explanation is owed.

If it happened

The first 24 hours matter most

  • ·Call the bank and block the account immediately
  • ·Report on cybercrime.gov.in or the 1930 helpline
  • ·Keep every screenshot, SMS and reference number
  • ·Funds can often still be frozen inside the first day
